Nagar Kirtan

International students along with our Sikh Chaplain
celebrated on Sunday 22nd May the birth of the Khalsa Panth (the pure ones) which took place in Ananpur in India in 1699, by joining the Nagar Kirtan (chanting meditation through the city of Nottingham).
Before they set off they were able to tie a dastar (head covering which is the crown giving to Sikhs by the 10th living master (guru) of the Sikhs Siri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The visit was organised by the University of Lincoln Chaplaincy with international students joining the event.
