Samvatsari is the last day of Paryushana Shwetambar. This tis the holiest day of the Jan calendar. It falls on Shukla Panchami in the Jain calendar month of Bhadrapada. On this day Jains seek forgiveness and forgive for mistakes committed knowingly and unknowingly from all creatures including friends and family. They say Micchami Dukkadam. There is an elaborate penitential retreat, samvatsari pratikramana, is performed.

Jains will great friends and family and no one will argue or fall out on this day. They will phone or message friends and family that do not live locally asking for forgiveness. Jains will also fast today.
